6th graders in l’Arrabassada: CHEFS!

Hello families!

During the month of February, 6th graders in l’Arrabassada have been very hungry… they have been working on a delicious topic: FOOD!

First of all, they learnt the different verbs that the real chefs use in their daily lifes:

Then, in pairs, they created four restaurants: they invented a name, a logo, a menu, the kind of food, the prices… then, they did an exposition and we voted for the best one.

We also practised the vocabulary that you need if you go to a restaurant as a costumer or, in the other way around, if you work as a waitress. Here you have some examples:

  • Hello, we want a table for eight please.
  • Here you go, would you like to see the menu?
  • Yes please, we are very hungry.
  • Are you ready to order?
  • We’d like fish and chips please.

An activity that they really liked was creating an original dessert. With some tasty ingredients, each student made a delicious cake and, as you can see in the photos, they became real chefs during all the sessions!

If you want to try their cakes… ask them for the recipies!

A sweet goodbye,

6th graders and Teacher Melanie
