Hello families!

During the second term, 5th graders in l’Arrabassada have been learing and discovering a very famous English city: LONDON! They learnt the typical food, the timetable they have, the most famous places in the city…

One of the session was dedicated to the London guards: they made a puppet and a poster with all the information about them. Do you know that they are divided into 2 detachments? The Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Palace. Now you know where you can find them!

To end the lesson, they watched a film that was made in London: Agent Cody Banks Destination London, the story about a teen detective. They also recorded a video in which they had to imagine that they were doing a tour around London. Here you have the video, we hope you like it:

See you soon families!

Hello families!

Now that the first term has finished, we want to explain an activity that 5th graders have been doing during the three months and that they are going to continue on January.

A weekend’s notebook! Every Wednesday, one student takes the notebook to his-her house. She or he can explain anything she or he wants about his weekend, using photos or pictures. Then, on Monday, he or she reads and explains it to the rest of the class.

They enjoy doing it because this way they can share their weekends with their friends, explaining their hobbies or the different places they have visited.

Here you have some examples:

Hello families!

in our English class we received a surprise: The arrival of our pets. And we can’t be more excited! Each class has a pet and each group chose the name. First of all we wrote all the options and ideas and after that we voted for the final one.

But the best part is that the Pet is going to travel to each of our students’ homes with a book or a little story that the kids will be able to tell you with a bit of help.

With the pet, there’s also a notebook travelling, where you can share with us pictures, drawings or anything that you want, about what you have been doing with the pet and how fun it was.

Here you have some pictures of all the groups with each pet: Pandi, Teddy, Mr. Lion, Brownie, Lion…

Here you have some examples of the amazing work of P5 students and their families!

See you soon!

Gemma.
