These days, the students of 2nd grade of l’Arrabassada are studying the parts of the body. This week they have learnt “the bath song”. We think teaching through songs  is a good way to encourage students to learn English.

Good morning!

This is an image of the P5 students in Escola La Arrabassada.

As you, parents, probably know, we are working through the storybook “The very hungry caterpillar”, and they are learning the vocabulary of all the food that the caterpillar eats.

Hi everyone!

This week is Halloween! The Academy group has been doing different activities related to this festivity which has a Celtic origin.

On Monday they learnt the origin of Halloween and how other countries celebrate the 31st of October.

In the pictures below you can see the children doing an activity about horror films.They had a worksheet with four different films summaries and they had to guess which of these films was the correct one. The cover of the films was placed on the classroom’s walls.

Hi everybody!

I am Karolina, a new teacher in Lockhart Academy!

This year I will be teaching English to 2nd and 3rd grade pupils in l’Arrabassada school and to 5th and 6th grade pupils in the academy.

Two years ago I finished the Primary Education Degree with the English Minor and this year I have finished a Master in  “Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language”.

Regarding my hobbies,  I am an animal lover. I have two dogs and I love them. In my free time I like going out with friends, reading, practicing sport, traveling to different places and taking pictures. I just love photography!!! Read more

Hello everybody!!

My name is Duina. I’m a new teacher at Lockhart Academy and I’ll be teaching at Escola l’Arrabassada. I’m going to be the teacher of P4, 2nd and 5th grades.

Maybe you will ask yourselves, who is this girl? So here I go, I’m going to share a bit of information about me, just to let you know me a little better ;).

I’m 25 years old and I’m  living in Cambrils nowadays although I ‘m originally from Andorra.

I studied to be a teacher with children who are 0 to 3 years old and, when I finished, I studied the Primary Education degree with a Minor in teaching English. Read more

Hi! My name is Maria. I’m an English teacher in Lockhart Academy.

I started working in the academy in July, during the summer courses for adults and for children. Now I have a 3rd grade group of children and an A2 and a B1 group of adults.

On Monday I’m going to start the extracurricular classes in Escola l’Arrabassada. I’ll be in p5, 1st grade and 4th grade, and I’m so thrilled about it! Read more
