Children, are you hungry today? Would you like something from my restaurant?

Yes, I would like…  some spaghetti and an ice-cream.

One of the most important tasks when you go to an English speaking country is to order food when you go to a restaurant. There are basic forms and questions, as well as food vocabulary that is important that children know.

The most important aim of the English learning process is that it becomes useful in their social lives. Furthermore, we wanted to relate the food vocabulary with some recurrent expressions, with the days of the weeks (yesterday, today and tomorrow) and with the most typical cutlery (dish, spoon, fork, knife and glass), so we related it to the tale: Today is Monday.

Also, first graders have started again with the traveling suitcase! In this case, Wednesday’s group have started with the Aaaarrgghh! Spider! story and  Thursday’s group with The Very Hungry Caterpillar one.

Have a nice weekend! 🙂
